Pink Strawberry Macaroon Recipe

Indulge your sweet tooth with these delightful Pink Strawberry Macaroons. These delicate treats are not only visually appealing with their rosy hue but also boast a burst of strawberry flavor. Follow this simple recipe to create these charming macaroons that are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients:

1 cup almond flour

1 3/4 cups powdered sugar

3 large egg whites, at room temperature

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon strawberry extract

Pink food coloring (gel or powder)

Pinch of salt

For the Filling:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1/4 cup strawberry preserves

Instructions:

Prepare Baking Sheets:

Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. You're going to pipe the macarons onto these, so make sure they're ready to go.

Sift Dry Ingredients:

In a medium bowl, sift together almond flour and powdered sugar. Make sure there are no lumps.

Whip Egg Whites:

In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with an electric mixer until foamy. Gradually add granulated sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.

Incorporate Dry Ingredients:

Gently fold the sifted dry ingredients into the egg whites using a spatula. Be careful not to deflate the egg whites; you want a smooth, glossy batter.

Add Flavor and Color:

Stir in the strawberry extract and add pink food coloring until you achieve the desired color. Mix well.

Pipe Macarons:

Transfer the batter to a piping bag fitted with a round tip. Pipe small rounds onto the prepared baking sheets. Let the macarons sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes, allowing a skin to form.

Preheat and Bake:

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Bake the macarons for 15-18 minutes or until they lift easily from the parchment paper.

Prepare Filling:

While the macarons are cooling, prepare the filling. Beat together softened butter, powdered sugar, and strawberry preserves until smooth.

Assemble:

Match up similar-sized macarons and spread a dollop of the strawberry filling on one half. Top it with another macaron, creating a sandwich.

Chill:

Place the filled macarons in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the texture to develop.

These Pink Strawberry Macaroons are a delightful treat for any occasion, from afternoon tea to elegant gatherings. Their charming appearance and sweet, fruity flavor are sure to make them a favorite among your family and friends. Enjoy these lovely macaroons as a delectable indulgence.
